About the LCAC
The mission of the Latino Cultural Arts Center (LCAC) is to elevate and advance the artistic and intellectual contributions of Latinos. Our vision holds that art can inspire justice if it is driven by imaginative excellence, cultural courage, and collective impact. We are building a cultural campus across central Denver, within the Mile High Stadium District, and are home to one of the largest collections of Chicano, Mexican-American and Mexican folk and fine art in the region. To learn more about the LCAC please visit www.lcac-denver.org About Ofrendas Ofrendas is a multi-faceted celebration of the ancient native Mexican, contemporary Mexican and Mexican American traditions that make up Día de los Muertos. It is an invitation to co-create with local and international artisans while honoring all of those that have come before us through virtual content and customizable, hand-made Ofrenda-kits. These altars, dedicated to the deceased, tell stories of loss and resilience. Through art and mental health, we bring family and community together to collectively learn, heal, and celebrate life.
