In response to valuable feedback from our community, we have expanded our art + mental wellness program throughout the year with monthly workshops, including those for men and boys. Each workshop will feature local artists & have a mental wellness component, ensuring that art is respected as a vital expression of self-care.

To ensure accessibility, the price of these workshops will be offered on a sliding scale. We firmly believe that investing in our programs is a way to take care of ourselves & each other to foster a culture of support & resilience.

Stay tuned for more details on upcoming workshop themes & dates.

The “stay tuned for themes & dates” part has me wondering if any of the monthly sessions will repeat, so people can catch one they missed without waiting a whole year. Also, small tangent: I was on this site looking at style ideas recently, and it’s funny how much mood and self-image tie into both clothes and making art.

Love the idea of treating art as self-care without making it feel like you have to be “good” at art to show up. It made me think of that whole cozy-creativity vibe you get from things like Studio-style photo art, where the point is the feeling more than perfection.

Sliding scale is such a practical move—so many wellness events say “community” but then price people out. Side note: I was browsing hrefgo the other day and got stuck thinking about how hard it is to make good resources actually findable, so I’m glad you’re spelling out that accessibility piece upfront.

Curious what the “mental wellness component” looks like in practice—guided reflection, journaling prompts, or more of a group discussion? I’ve seen structured frameworks help people open up (in a totally different context, even learning a classic vigenere cipher tool has that step-by-step clarity), so I’m wondering how you’ll balance structure with the art side.

I like that you’re including men and boys too—mental wellness spaces can feel weirdly gendered sometimes, and making it normal to show up matters. It oddly reminds me of how I’ll zone out with a puzzle like https://blockblast.co when I need my brain to reset, just with way more community built in here.
