LCAC Awarded a Bonfils-Stanton Foundation DEI Opportunity Grant

The Latino Cultural Arts Center’s 2020-2021 programming is funded in part by the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, cultivating arts and leaders for a vibrant community. The Latino Cultural Arts Center (LCAC) proudly announces the launch of the first artist training program intended for Latinx artists in the Denver metropolitan area. We will offer a series of capacity-building workshops for a cohort of 10 interdisciplinary and intergenerational artists. It has been a week since we premiered the Hecho en Colorado coloring book. This project started as a way of bringing creativity and inspiration to our community at a time when schools and cultural institutions are closed. The reception to the first installment has been overwhelming. We have gotten dozens of submissions from artists who immediately rallied in support, and it has been shared in dozens of newsletters and social feeds.
